Description
Renovated Mountain House with Garden and Panoramic Views
This beautiful, fully renovated mountain house is located approximately 3 km from Villa Celiera, within the Gran Sasso National Park, at around 700 metres above sea level. The property enjoys a panoramic position overlooking the surrounding hills and mountains and, on clear days, also offers distant views of the sea.
The house is surrounded by a large private garden, accessed via a private road with a vehicle entrance gate. Its naturally sheltered position, protected from the cold north-west winds, provides a pleasantly cool climate in summer and milder temperatures in winter. The house is also almost entirely arranged on one level, with very few internal steps, making it particularly suitable for those who prefer to avoid stairs.
In front of the house there is a large paved courtyard, while at the rear there is a pleasant barbecue area with a wood-fired oven, surrounded by lawn and pine trees. The property also has a well, which can be used to provide water for irrigating a vegetable garden.
The main entrance leads directly into the living room, featuring a large fireplace. From the living room, a few steps lead to the spacious eat-in kitchen, furnished with a beautiful solid wood kitchen. A hallway leads to the sleeping area, comprising a double bedroom, a bathroom and a second bedroom, separated by a partition wall.
Adjacent to the main house and with its own independent entrance, there is also a convenient storage room with washing machine connections and a sink, ideal as a utility and storage area.
The property has all main utilities, including mains water, natural gas for heating and hot water, and a mains sewage connection. The availability of natural gas is a significant advantage for a mountain property, making the house comfortable to use throughout the year.
The recent renovation has preserved the property’s authentic rustic mountain character, enhanced by textured wall finishes and solid wood furnishings. The rooms are comfortable, well maintained and welcoming. The house is ready to move into and requires no further work, making it ideal both as a permanent home for those seeking peace and contact with nature, and as a holiday home or mountain retreat to enjoy throughout the year.
Villa Celiera is a small mountain village of around 550 inhabitants, located at approximately 714 metres above sea level on the eastern side of the Gran Sasso. It is part of the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park and is renowned as the home of traditional handmade arrosticini, one of the most famous specialities of Abruzzo cuisine.
The surrounding area offers beautiful natural scenery, numerous walking and hiking trails, and routes for cycling enthusiasts. During the winter, the area also offers various opportunities for snow-related activities.
