Description
The farmhouse is a typical small brick house, beautifully located in the hilly landscape, surrounded by a large, centuries-old olive grove not far from the historic town of Pianella. It lies in one of the best olive and wine regions of Abruzzo. The property includes about 70 ancient olive trees, and the location is ideal as both the coast and the mountains are easily and quickly accessible. The peaceful hilltop setting offers a pleasant life with an optimal Mediterranean climate.
The house is in need of renovation. On the ground floor, there is a large kitchen with an open fireplace, a living room with brick vaults, and a bathroom. On the first floor, there are two spacious bedrooms.
In the outdoor area, there is a metal shed/garage and a small stable. In front of the house, there is a paved seating area, bordered by rosemary bushes and fig trees.
The house has water and electricity connections, and there is a gas boiler for heating and hot water (liquid gas), as well as a septic tank. The roof needs maintenance work, and the walls on the ground floor are a little bit damp. Our architect will gladly provide an estimate for the renovation work upon request.
Pianella has a very beautiful historic town center and is one of the nicest and liveliest small towns in the area, known for its particularly good olive oil. In fact, Pianella is part of the golden triangle of olive oil. The first DOP (Protected Designation of Origin) area in Italy was established here.
